For the ultimate in docking control and safety, Dockmate is the answer. Dockmate is a hand-held wireless system that permits the captain of the vessel to control engines, thrusters, windlasses and horn wirelessly from anywhere on the boat.  Many yacht owners are extremely challenged to control their vessel in slow or no-speed situations due to wind, current and obstacles . This is primarily due to visibility and being tied to the helm station where the controls are. Dockmate solves this problem by integrating seamlessly into the vessel’s engine, throttle, shift and thruster controls and puts them all on a multi-spectrum wireless remote controller. This controller gives the captain complete mobility and freedom to move about the boat to see what they need to see.

All while retaining absolute control of the speed and direction of the vessel under their command. Dockmate offers two types of remote controls. The ‘Twist’ version has a true joystick allowing simple twist gestures to spin the boat. This is a feature exclusive to Dockmate.  The standard remote control gives the Captain independent buttons for all functions of the boat. Another exclusive feature of Dockmate is it’s capability to provide proportional control of the boats thrusters. And, each system can be personalized and adjusted to the user’s touch and feel. No other system on the market has these features!

The TWIST for Volvo IPS joystick transmitter offers a wireless extension of your boat's joystick with the exact same feeling and response time.

• Control engines or POD system and horn with the proportional joystick.

• Control bow thruster, and 1 or 2 anchor winches or windlasses with separate buttons.
 

• Twist the joystick to rotate your boat.

• Operates Dynamic Positioning system when installed.

• Engage High Mode.

We can connect Dockmate® to the engines in 3 different ways:

  1. Analog

  2. Digital, through sophisticated CAN bus technology.

  3. Directly onto the gearbox; in this case the Dockmate is connected directly to the gearbox’s solenoids through a specially developed interface.
    So we go completely around the ship’s CAN bus system, avoiding possible protocol incompatibility or issues. In this case the warranty on the engine will not be declared void by the manufacturer.
